Arizona Green Research Institute

Our first Mobile Lab will be a conversion from a retired ambulance which has an air compressor, electric inverter, lights, and heat/air already build into the box.  It will be repainted with new decals for use in Arizona schools, farmer's markets, festivals, among other places where learning opportunities exist.  The lab will consist of four fish tanks to house fry, fingerlings, ½ grown, and market ready Tilapia.  Along with the Tilapia the lab will house filters, pumps, sumps, and all the other items required to clean the water for recycled use back to the fish.

The lab will also use the partially filtered, nutrient rich fish water to hydroponically grow vegetables in a 3’ x 8’ grow bed.  During the day and during exhibition, natural sun light will be used for growth.  This Mobile Lab will be available for visits starting in spring 2020.  We will also incorporate an additional 6-8 prototype units into Mobile Labs as soon as trials using the prototypes have been completed.
